Embed Code Generator

The Embed Code Generator turns any YouTube video link into a ready-to-paste iframe snippet, with control over dimensions and autoplay. Embedding keeps viewers on your own page while the view still counts toward the video's YouTube statistics.

How it works

How to use the Embed Code Generator

2Set your dimensions560×315 is the standard 16:9 default.

Do embedded views count?

Yes. Views from embedded players count toward your YouTube view count and watch time, provided the video is played deliberately by a real viewer and the player is not hidden or sized to near-zero. This makes embedding on a blog or landing page a legitimate way to build watch time from traffic you already have.

Autoplay and browser restrictions

Modern browsers block autoplay with sound. If you enable autoplay, most browsers will either mute the video or refuse to start it until the user interacts with the page. Autoplay also hurts accessibility and page performance. Use it sparingly, and never on a page where the video is not the main content.

Making embeds responsive

The fixed width and height in a standard embed will overflow on mobile. The usual fix is to wrap the iframe in a container with a 16:9 aspect ratio and set the iframe to 100% width and height, so it scales with the page rather than forcing horizontal scrolling.

Browsers block autoplay with sound by default. Autoplay generally only works when the video is also muted.

Wrap the iframe in a container with a 16:9 aspect ratio and set the iframe to 100% width and height, rather than using fixed pixel dimensions.

Only videos whose owner allows embedding. Creators can disable it, in which case the player shows a Watch on YouTube message instead.
