Monetization Calculator

The Monetization Calculator checks how close a channel is to YouTube Partner Program eligibility. It tracks all three thresholds at once: 1,000 subscribers, plus either 4,000 public watch hours in 12 months or 10 million public Shorts views in 90 days. Enter your current figures to see exactly what is left.

How it works

How to use the Monetization Calculator

Three steps, no account and nothing to install.

1Enter your subscriber countThis is a hard requirement on both qualifying paths.
2Add your public watch hoursFound in YouTube Studio → Analytics, set to the last 365 days.
3Add Shorts views if relevantOnly needed if you are pursuing the Shorts pathway. Use the last 90 days.
4Check your progressThe bars show progress against each threshold and whether you currently qualify.

The two qualifying paths

Every channel needs 1,000 subscribers. From there you can qualify through long-form watch time (4,000 valid public watch hours in the previous 12 months) or through Shorts (10 million valid public Shorts views in the previous 90 days). You only need one of the two. Channels that post both formats often reach the watch-hours path first, since 10 million Shorts views is a high bar.

Requirements beyond the numbers

Hitting the thresholds makes you eligible to apply, not automatically monetized. You also need to live in a country where the Partner Program is available, have no active Community Guidelines strikes, have 2-Step Verification enabled on your Google Account, and have an active AdSense account. Applications are reviewed manually and typically take up to a month.
