Video SEO Checker
The Video SEO Checker pulls a published video's live metadata from YouTube and scores its SEO fundamentals. Title length, description depth, tag count and keyword placement. Paste any public video link to see what is working and what is missing.
How it works
How to use the Video SEO Checker
Three steps, no account and nothing to install.
What the checker looks at
Four fundamentals: title length (40-70 characters, long enough to carry a keyword but short enough not to truncate), description length (200+ characters gives YouTube meaningful context), tag count (at least eight relevant tags), and whether the first line of the description is substantial enough to front-load your main keyword, that first line is what appears in search results and above the fold.
What matters that a checker cannot measure
Metadata is the smaller half of YouTube SEO. Click-through rate and audience retention matter far more, and neither can be read from metadata. A technically perfect title and description will not save a video people do not click or do not finish. Use this to remove obvious deficiencies, then focus on thumbnail, hook and retention.
